Why is the program asking me to register?
A. When you register your copy of Edith, you pay for the license to run this
program on your own computer. If you choose to not register, Edith
will stop working at the end of the 30-Day FREE TRIAL.
To register your copy of Edith follow the
instructions described on the Register
web page.
Q.
Why does the program remove the
italic, underline and bold attributes from the text?
A. The
"Normal" settings in Edith strips out font types,
font sizes, bold, italic and underline attributes because they
are HTML tags. To allow these attributes to be
maintained, uncheck the "Remove HTML <tags>"
option.
Q.
Why does the program remove pictures?
A. The
current version of Edith strips out embedded
images. In some email environments you can copy-and-paste the
desired images from the original email back into the
forwarding copy of the email. If your email service does
not allow you to paste images into the forwarding copy of the
email, then you may be able to use Edith to clean up the selected portions of
your email before and after the pictures you do not want
deleted.
Q.
Can I turn off the Edith ad which
appears on my edited document?
A. Yes.
An ad for Edith is attached to the end of the document.
It is intended to help spread the word to your recipients,
emphasizing how much you care -- providing them with clear,
easy-to-read texts and removing email addresses for their
privacy and security. This ad can easily be turned
off. For more about the Edith ad Click

Q.
Why do the shortcut keys "<Ctrl><Alt>e"
not work on my computer?
A. There
are two possible reasons the "<Ctrl><Alt>e"
shortcut keys do not work to execute Edith on your
computer. First, when you installed Edith you have to
select the option to have Edith on your desktop. If you
have not done this, you can re-install Edith and set this
option. Secondly, there must be no previously installed
applications on your desktop which use the "<Ctrl><Alt>e"
shortcut. You can modify the shortcut of your desktop
icon. Rightclick on the desktop Edith icon and select
properties. On the "Shortcut" tab, place the
cursor in the "Shortcut Key" field and enter the one
letter (or arrow key) to replace the "E" in the
shortcut.
Q.
Does this software clean viruses from
my outgoing Emails?
A. No.
This is NOT an anti-virus program. The software only
cleans up text.
Q.
Does this software check for spelling
errors and grammar errors?
A. No.
This version of Edith does NOT check spelling or grammar.
